What should I bring to the show?
We bring cash and a card, a small notebook, a fine-tip marker, and zip bags to keep strands and receipts together. A compact ruler or calipers helps confirm millimeters at the table. Comfortable shoes, water, and a snack keep the day on track. We also save a map of the floor and a shortlist of booths on our phone.

How many 6 mm beads do I need?
Plan with bead math so you do not overbuy. There are 25.4 mm per inch, and standard strand length from the cutters is 13 to 16 inches. Common finished lengths are bracelet 7.5 inches, choker 16 inches, princess 18 inches, and matinee 22 inches, and you should allow 1.5 inches for clasp and findings.
Use these typical counts for rondelles on a 15 to 16 inch strand when estimating designs. Then decide how many strands to pick up based on your project list.
- 4 mm rondelles: about 95 to 100 beads per strand
- 6 mm rondelles: about 65 to 70 beads per strand
- 8 mm rondelles: about 48 to 52 beads per strand

Which booths should I visit first?
Walk the whole floor once before buying so your eye calibrates to quality and price. Star the few strands that feel truly scarce, and note booth numbers and prices to compare later. Prioritize unique material and cuts early, then circle back for repeatable basics. We also ask about table minimums and accepted payments so checkout is smooth.
What should I ask at each table?
Start with two essentials: what is it, and where was it cut. Then confirm strand length, stated millimeter size, shape, and cut. Ask about hole size, returns or exchanges, and whether matching strands are available. If you need time to think, ask how long they can hold a tray and when they restock.
How do I track finds and prices without losing time?
We take a quick photo of the strand on the tray, then the price tag, then the booth sign so the source is tied to the piece. On our notebook or bag label we write stone, size, shape, cut, price, and booth number. That habit prevents mixed tags and makes reorders simple. It also helps when we compare candidates before we buy.
